TempExperts is hiring a full-time Pharmacist to for a Specialty Pharmacy in the Tampa Bay area!
*** This is a Monday through Friday, long-term temp assignment for immediate placement. ***
This pharmacist position requires current Pharmacist license in the state of Florida.
Must have at least 2+ years of recent pharmacy experience in a retail, hospital, or mail order setting. Candidates must have outstanding software knowledge and prior experience providing exceptional customer service. Candidates must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, have excellent attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. Candidates will be required to process collectively 1200-1600 pharmacy orders a day, must be able to lift at least fifteen pounds and stand during their entire 8-hour shift.
Primary Responsibilities:
Receive written prescription or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate and request clarification from prescriber as needed.
Final verification that labels are correctly entered, and bottles are filled with prescribed medications.
Establish and maintain patient profile and counsel on drug indications, diagnosis, dosages, directions, questions, allergies, and interactions.
Maintain proper storage, safety, and security conditions for drugs in accordance with state and federal requirements.
Actively work to optimize medication use by communicating, as appropriate, with patients, caregivers, providers, and team members.
Develop, implement, and update individual patient assessments and care plans.
Direct supervision of technicians and shipping team in all pharmacy dispensing and medication preparation processes.
Assist with inventory management including ordering, cycle counts and returns.
Assist with achievement and maintenance of accreditation standards and development of related policies and procedures.
Participate in on-call counseling services rotation.
License/Certification:
Florida Pharmacist License (Required).
