Job Summary
This role is responsible for advancing the company’s financial objectives by maintaining and enhancing the cost accounting system, executing general accounting duties, and delivering data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and special projects.
Key responsibilities include gathering, analyzing, and evaluating data to assess the costs of business operations; conducting daily and weekly reviews of job costs and related general ledger entries; and identifying and resolving variances. The position also manages fixed assets within the ERP system, oversees construction-in-progress accounts, and ensures accurate tracking of asset acquisitions and disposals. Additional duties include supporting the annual budget process and participating in scheduled internal and external audits.
Education/Previous Experience
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
-At least five years of professional accounting experience
-Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics and Exact Max preferred
-Solid command of Microsoft Office Suite
