Summary of Primary Functions:
The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the accounts payable operations within a bustling company. The ideal candidate ensures all financial commitments are met promptly and accurately, while nurturing positive relationships with vendors and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
Lead the AP department to meet business needs.
Ensure accurate, timely, and efficient invoice processing and payment.
Build and maintain vendor relationships.
Collaborate with leadership on policies and procedures.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice disputes.
Participate in monthly financial closings and ensure accurate AP postings/accruals.
Respond to inquiries about invoice payment status.
Ensure disbursements comply with contractual terms and policies.
Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including 1099 reporting.
Oversee AP team productivity through metrics.
Conduct regular audits of financial records.
Act as primary AP contact during audits and process reviews.
Set up and onboard new vendors, ensuring proper documentation.
Coordinate weekly check runs.
Oversee employee reimbursements and process customer refunds.
Manage rent payments according to lease agreements.
Provide support for PO and invoice processing tools.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
7+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable including at least 3 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
US GAAP accounting principles and practices experience.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
Experience with ERP systems.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive accountability and motivate a team to achieve AP performance goals.
