Temp Experts is actively seeking an Assembler to join the production team for a well-known company with an international presence in the Lafayette area.
The Assembler role is responsible for producing finished goods and services to meet our customers’ quality and timeliness demands and support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Assists the team with a variety of industrial facility system repairs and preventive maintenance.
Ability to assemble erector set, tube structures, and wooden carts with basic hand tools, along with band, table, and chop saw.
Read and understand prints and drawings.
Performs general maintenance such as trench cleaning and sign hanging.Â
Troubleshoots and repairs basic electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance issues.Â
Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled.
Operates a variety of equipment, including hand tools.
Demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling.Â
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of related production or mechanical assembly experience and/or training.Â
Wood/fabrication shop experience preferred.
Band, table, chop saw experience required.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to stand for duration of shift and hear/respond in a loud setting.Â
Basic computer skills for data entry, email, etc.
Must be willing to work overtime when required.
May be required to work holidays and weekends.
Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass a drug test required.
U.S. citizenship required.
