TempExperts is sourcing an Assembly Technician to join a dynamic production team in Tampa, FL. This role focuses on assembling and installing mechanical and electrical components to engineering specifications. The Assembly Technician ensures quality assemblies, supports engineering efforts, and maintains a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints to assemble components accurately.
Assemble electrical parts such as control cabinets and electrical boxes, ensuring defect-free machine assembly.
Verify proper electrical connectivity according to specifications.
Assist engineering teams with design and testing of new electrical components.
Deliver assemblies on time and report any manufacturing delays or issues.
Propose alternative solutions to resolve production challenges.
Maintain accurate production schedules.
Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
Properly store and label hazardous materials.
Attend all OSHA safety trainings and consistently follow safety protocols, including wearing safety goggles.
Cross-train on other production tasks as directed.
Arrive on time and adhere to scheduled work hours.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Education:
Minimum of one year certificate from a college or technical school, or 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals in English.
Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written).
Ability to apply common sense and follow detailed instructions.
Capable of troubleshooting problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.
Comfortable working in a production/shop environment with exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, paint, and noise.
Able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods (4+ hours).
Commitment to safety and willingness to follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
