A Coral Gables Full-Service Law Firm is seeking a Hybrid Associate Attorney with Medical Malpractice experience to join their team for direct hire.
This Associate Attorney would need to have 2-5 years of experience in Insurance Defense Litigation such as automobile liability, trucking liability, general liability and medical negligence. In this role there is an excellent opportunity for growth as a trial attorney.Â
Responsibilities will include:
Manage a significant caseload from inception to post-trial.
Attending hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
Prepare pleadings, discovery/discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents.
Prepare timely reports to insurance carriers and clients regarding case status and ongoing activities.
Develop clients via relationship-building methods.
Skills and Competencies:
Must have knowledge and expertise in all phases of litigation from pleadings through trial.
Must have knowledge and experience taking and defending depositions.
Must have strong and persuasive oral advocacy as well as excellent writing skills.
Must be skilled in evaluating cases.
Qualifications:
Must be a Good Standing Member of the Florida Bar.
Must have working knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
Must be technologically confident; extremely comfortable using process. management systems and effectively utilizing available technology and automation.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
2-5 years’ experience in a law firm required.
Must have Medical Malpractice Experience on the Defense OR Plaintiff side.
Knowledge of state and federal court rules and e-filing procedures.Â
Strong in Microsoft Word, outlook and document management applicants.
