Job Summary:
TempExperts is partnered with a thriving Gainesville, FL law firm for an Associate Attorney (Civil Litigation) position. The ideal candidate must have a Florida Bar License and experience in one or more of the following areas: Construction Law, Land Use, Zoning, Probate, Guardianship, and Family Law. This is a fully in-office role with room for growth.
Responsibilities:
Experience working in a law firm with substantial civil litigation experience.
Must be conscientious, detail-oriented, and have exceptional analytical and writing skills.
Must know about federal and state statutes, court rules, forms, processes, and procedures.
Provide initial analysis of cases and develop case strategy.
Take depositions of relevant parties and witnesses.
Draft legal motions and attend hearings.
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
Assist and lead in trial proceedings.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Florida Bar License.
3-5 years preferred (willing to accept applicants right out of law school and will train for the role).
Must be able to handle a deal from beginning to close.
