Join an innovative team specializing in advanced coating technologies for aerospace, medical, and industrial applications! This Lab Technician role in Clearwater, FL focuses on supporting production and quality processes related to thermal spray and PVD coating technologies.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and handle coating materials including powders and thin-film deposition materials.
Perform laboratory tests and measurements on coated components to ensure adherence to engineering specifications.
Operate and maintain lab equipment such as microscopes, hardness testers, and surface analyzers.
Document process data and assist in preparing technical reports for internal review.
Support development of new coating processes and custom applications.
Follow all safety and quality protocols in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Requirements/Education:
Previous experience in a lab environment or coating processes (thermal spray, PVD, or similar) preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process sheets.
Familiarity with precision measurement tools and laboratory testing equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree in materials science, coatings, or a related field preferred.
