Summary:
TempExperts is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support attorneys in a fast-paced insurance and reinsurance practice in Tampa, FL. This role requires strong organization, document management, and communication skills to ensure efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize technology to optimize workflow and task efficiency.
Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and filings.
Draft basic court filings (e.g., Answers, Motions, Notices of Appearance).
Manage attorneys' calendars, scheduling hearings, depositions, and meetings.
Maintain and organize electronic case files, correspondence, and pleadings.
Conduct e-filings and ensure compliance with State and Federal filing procedures.
Process reimbursements and client cost requests via ChromeRiver & Accounts Payable.
Oversee document storage in iManage and coordinate with records clerks.
Handle incoming/outgoing mail and digital document processing.
Maintain client confidentiality and professional communication.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; Associate Degree or Business School Certificate preferred.
3+ years of litigation secretarial experience in a law firm preferred.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and PDF applications.
Minimum of 60 words per minute with accuracy.
Strong spelling, grammar, proofreading, transcription, and administrative skills.
Ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment with reliability.
