TempExperts is sourcing for a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join a nationally recognized practice group in its Detroit, MI office. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, team-oriented attorney with 3–4 years of experience who is looking to deepen their expertise in a high-volume, sophisticated labor and employment practice.
The ideal candidate brings strong writing skills, solid litigation experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment handling complex employer-side matters.
Responsibilities:
Represent employers in wage and hour class and collective actions.
Handle single-plaintiff employment litigation matters in both state and federal courts.
Advise and counsel clients on a broad range of labor and employment issues.
Assist with union negotiations and labor relations matters.
Manage OSHA-related compliance and enforcement issues.
Respond to and defend EEOC charges and related agency proceedings.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings.
Conduct legal research and manage all phases of discovery.
Participate in motion practice, settlement conferences, and negotiations.
Support trial preparation; trial experience is a plus.
Requirements/Education:
3–4 years of labor and employment litigation experience required.Â
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school required.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills required.
Experience with discovery, motion practice, and litigation strategy required.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively required.
Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, client-focused approach required.
Exposure to client relationship management or business development preferred.
Active member in good standing of the Michigan Bar required.
Candidates awaiting admission must be eligible for timely Michigan Bar admission as a condition of employment.
