TempExperts is looking for a Senior Billing Specialist to join a well-established law firm in the Greater Tampa Bay area.
This position will be responsible for handling billing for a designated group of attorneys, ensuring all invoices are accurate, timely, and align with specific client billing guidelines. This role also includes managing new matter setup and contributing to streamlined billing operations across the firm.
Primary Responsibilities:
Generate and manage monthly client invoices using Aderant or comparable legal billing software.
Partner with attorneys and support staff to review and finalize pre-bills.
Manage new matter intake and enter billing data accurately.
Submit invoices through e-billing platforms and troubleshoot any submission issues or rejections.
Process billing adjustments, including write-offs and reversals, in compliance with internal policies.
Act as a resource to attorneys and staff regarding billing procedures and best practices.
Maintain organized and up-to-date billing records and documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of legal billing experience in a law firm setting.
Hands-on experience with Aderant or a similar legal billing system.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Deep understanding of legal billing standards and client-specific billing requirements.
Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and time management abilities.
Capable of managing multiple tasks independently and meeting deadlines.
Willingness to work additional hours when necessary.
