TempExperts is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney – Hybrid/Remote (New York) to support a high-volume creditors’ rights practice handling foreclosure, bankruptcy, replevin, and related civil litigation matters. This role is responsible for managing litigation files, representing clients in court proceedings, drafting pleadings, and ensuring compliance with New York laws, court rules, and client requirements. The position reports to a Managing Attorney and requires court-related appearances.
Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of foreclosure, bankruptcy, replevin, and related civil litigation matters from initiation through resolution.
Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings, including hearings and conferences, both in-person and virtual.
Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, notices, and legal correspondence in accordance with court and client standards.
Ensure compliance with New York laws, procedural rules, court deadlines, and client-specific requirements.
Track court calendars, statutory deadlines, hearings, and filings to ensure timely case progression.
Maintain accurate and organized case files within legal case management systems.
Collaborate with legal support staff to coordinate filings, service, and document preparation.
Communicate professionally with courts, clients, and internal teams regarding case status and outcomes.
Utilize e-filing systems, court portals, and document management platforms.
Support workflow efficiency and quality control within a fast-paced, high-volume litigation practice.
Requirements/Education:
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in the State of New York.
Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience preferred; creditors’ rights experience is a plus.
Experience with foreclosure, bankruptcy, collections, or related civil litigation matters preferred.
Strong knowledge of New York court procedures, filings, and litigation deadlines.
Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral communication skills.
Ability to manage high-volume caseloads and competing deadlines effectively.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based legal or case management systems.
Multi-state licensure or federal court experience is a plus.
