TempExperts is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal with extensive experience in Federal cases to join a dynamic legal team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented and able to provide comprehensive support to multiple attorneys.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including case management, legal research, and document preparation.
Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and trials.
Prepare trial exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties involved in the litigation process.
Maintain and update case management databases and tracking systems.
Assist with the preparation and filing of electronic court submissions (e-filing) in federal courts.
Perform administrative tasks such as calendaring deadlines, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant/paralegal, with a focus on federal cases.
Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
Strong understanding of federal court procedures and e-filing systems.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
