TempExperts - is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with Insurance and Reinsurance experience to join a growing firm in Tampa, FL.
This Paralegal would be supporting multiple attorneys by providing project assistant support and oversight. A successful match will be a dedicated and experienced legal professional with a strong background and experience in Insurance and Reinsurance law.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Coordinate depositions of parties requested by attorneys.
Summarize and organize depositions, records and testimony utilizing litigation support technology tools.
Draft various pleadings and filings in Federal and State level civil litigation.
Assist with all aspects of case litigation, trial preparation including identifying and marking exhibits for motions, position papers, mediation depositions and trial.
Verify case citations in briefs for current validity and accuracy through LexisNexis and other public databases.
Interact with various government and court officials as well as with clients.
Maintain attorney calendars with case deadlines.
Assist in trial with exhibits, demonstrative aids and witnesses.
Maintain timesheets and meet firm deadlines in accordance with Firm policies.
Perform other duties as required.
Organize and maintain files from the inception of the case through the completion.
Conduct factual investigations and interviews to identify key parties, related issues and relevant documents for the preparation of discovery.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate degree, certificate, or related education is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience is required. 3-5+ years of litigation experience is preferred.
Insurance and Reinsurance law experience is required.
Comfort and efficiency with supporting multiple attorneys.
Strong knowledge of and ability to apply office software applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and PDF.
