Material Handler I
Norwell, MA Temporary Assignment
TempExperts is seeking a Material Handler I for a temporary opportunity in Norwell, Massachusetts. This position supports warehouse and production operations by receiving, storing, moving, and preparing materials and products for shipment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials and deliveries.
Pull, stage, and transport materials to support production and packing operations.
Prepare and assemble customer orders for shipment accurately and efficiently.
Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
Restock inventory and maintain organized storage locations.
Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory control activities.
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
Identify and report damaged materials, shortages, or discrepancies.
Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and warehouse guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area through daily housekeeping activities.
Support additional warehouse and production tasks as assigned.
Requirements/Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of one year of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience.
Previous forklift experience required.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
