TempExperts is hiring a Medical Scheduler for a thriving healthcare company in Pinellas Park, FL.
Job Summary:
The Medical Scheduler will handle a variety of scheduling and administrative duties to manage appointments and schedules. Ensure accurate record keeping and comply with required regulations in a timely and efficient manner. Maintains excellence in customer service by being compassionate, empathetic, and responsive to the needs of internal and external community.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties:
Foster and maintain a professional relationship while building a strong rapport with patients, clients, and staff.
Assist patients and clients to ensure all needed documentation associated with scheduled appointments ensuring appointments are properly scheduled in a timely manner.
Process appointment assignments through company navigation ensuring data in participants’ electronic medical record is entered correctly.
Provide all required documentation to the specialist for each appointment.
Communicate up-to-date scheduling information as necessary to promote continuity of care.
Support Assistants when necessary.
Maintains excellence in customer service by being compassionate, empathetic, and responsive to the needs of internal and external community.
Always maintains patient and family confidentiality.
 Minimum Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED.
Excellent verbal and written and communication skills.
Excellent typing and computer skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge of HIPPA compliance regulations.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Basic knowledge of healthcare scheduling.
