Oil and Gas Project Manager
Monroe, NC
4-6 month contract assignment
$50 to $80/hr. based on experience.

TempExperts is hiring a knowledgeable Project Manager to join an organization with government contracts in Monroe, NC.

The Project Manager will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and managing Oil and Gas Pumps. This position is 50/50 at the site and in the office, depending on situational responsibilities and is a 4 to 6 month contract assignment.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: 
  • Update and maintain Pump Tracker (Excel).
  • Collaborate with Lead Pump Engineer on issues and their recovery plans.
  • Support and drive Root Cause Analysis with Lead Pump Engineer.
  • Collaborate with operations team on detailed plan for operations, testing, and planned witness inspections.
  • Coordinate directly with Third Party inspectors for all witness points.
  • Issue NOI’s (Notification of Inspection).
  • Administratively handle documentation submittals and returns from customer. 
  • Monitor, Control, and Track all related QA documentation in digital format but also in the physical binders for each package. 
  • Communicate with Customer Project Manager on a daily basis as needed or once per week meeting to review status/schedule/open items.
  • Coordinate between Lead Pump Engineer and Technical Leads at Customer to resolve issues.
  • Submit and defend Deviation Requests.
  • Technically defend project execution to specifications required of the project.
  • Update MS Project Schedule weekly and track slip/slack relative to committed dates.
  • Lead team meeting with Warren Team three times a week, capture minutes, commitments, and upcoming actions and distribute to the team.
  • Lead team meeting with Monroe Team once per week, capture minutes, commitments, and upcoming actions and distribute to the team.
  • Lead daily stand-up meetings in Fab Shop capturing actions and monitoring progress to build plan.
  • Resource Loaded MS Project Schedule.
  • Create and maintain formal risk register and drive mitigation plans with team.
  • Weekly delivery forecast showing critical path, risks and mitigation plans showing variance to baseline.
  • Identification of resources (people or equipment) required to compress schedule, if needed.
Requirements/Experience:
  • Mechanical Engineering background
  • Prior experience working with or for an Engineering, Procurement, & Construction firm. Oil & Gas Industry preferred.
