TempExperts is hiring a Quality Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections on precision machined components and assemblies to ensure product conforms with the applicable requirements.
Responsibilities:
Reading and interpreting prints/drawings (including GD&T callouts) and engineering specifications.
Performing visual and dimensional inspection activities, using measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers, Micro-Hite®, optical comparators, CMMs, etc.
Inspecting incoming, in-process, and finished product, and periodically over-checking First Piece Inspections (performed by production).
Rejecting and segregating any nonconforming product, and promptly notifying the Quality Manager and Area leadership.
Recording inspection results and maintaining/retaining Quality documentation.
Initiating and maintaining positive interactions with Production personnel.
Other duties:
Initiate corrective action requests (CARs).
Provide on-the-job training to others.
Participate in departmental housekeeping activities.
Adherence to all Safety Policies and Procedures, including the use of specified PPE.
Ideal Candidate: Required Proficiencies:
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience performing inspection activities in a precision machining environment.
Knowledge of GD&T
Proficient in the use of measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers, Micro-Hite®, optical comparators, CMMs, etc.
Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure quality and delivery requirements.
Ability to understand & follow written & verbal instructions.
Strong communication skills both verbal & written.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
Must have your own calipers and 0-1” micrometers.
Desired Proficiencies:
Experience ballooning/bubbling prints and creating/editing CMM programs.
Experience taking manual measurements to validate the reported output from new/revised CMM programs.
Experience with Keyence IM Series
Experience with MCOSMOS and MiCAT Planner
Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 environment preferred.
