TempExperts is supporting a Clearwater Production Shop in their search for a Sander/Tool Grinder. This position is a critical position for the shop and requires a person who pays close attention to detail, safety, and works well with other people across multiple departments.
In this role you will set up and operate grinders and sharpeners to prepare or maintain hand tools that have been in circulation.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Computing numbers, widths, and angles of cutting tools, micrometers, scales, and gauges – adjust these tools to produce specified cuts.
Filing or finishing surfaces of workpieces using prescribed hand tools.
Fitting parts together in preassembly to ensure that dimensions are accurate.
Inspecting, feeling, and measuring workpieces to ensure that surfaces and dimensions meet specifications.
Monitoring machining operations to determine whether adjustments are necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Working knowledge of grinding and sharpening tools as well as abrasives.
Proficient with hand tools and measurement tools such as micrometers.
Strong ability to read and interpret design plans and spec sheets.
Proactive, hard worker with a strong attention to detail.
