Shipping Supervisor

TempExperts is seeking an experienced Shipping Supervisor to support daily warehouse and outbound operations for a growing distribution company in Miami/Doral, FL. This role oversees shipping workflows, documentation accuracy, carrier coordination, and sample inventory while providing hands-on support to warehouse staff. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
Responsibilities:
Generate daily shipping reports, print pick tickets and labels, prioritize orders, and assign work to order pickers.
Ensure outbound documentation is accurate, including bills of lading, labels, and shipping packets.
Coordinate truck space and pickups with local carriers; follow up on delays or missed pickups.
Assist warehouse staff with inventory discrepancies and order-related questions.
Request product replenishment from external or third-party warehouses when needed.
Provide support to Customer Service and Sales teams regarding order changes, special instructions, and status updates.
Serve as backup for picking, order inspection, dispatching drivers, and end-of-day reconciliation.
Maintain sample and supply inventory; fulfill sample orders and complete monthly reconciliations.
Process inbound packages and distribute them to office personnel by daily cut-off times.
Participate in routine and cycle-count inventory activities.
Maintain a clean, organized warehouse, office, and sample area.
Assist with special projects as assigned.
Requirements/Education:
2+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or shipping operations; supervisory experience preferred.
Proficiency with warehouse management systems, scanners, and shipping documentation.
Strong computer skills, including Excel; ability to learn new technology and tools.
Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physical warehouse environment.
