Join a leading manufacturing team in Clearwater, FL delivering advanced coating solutions for high-performance components in aerospace, medical, and industrial industries. The Thermal Spray Coating Technician position offers hands-on experience with state-of-the-art thermal spray equipment, ensuring components meet strict quality and performance standards.
Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain thermal spray equipment, including HVOF, plasma, and flame spray systems.
Prepare, mask, and set up parts for coating applications.
Apply coatings such as metals, ceramics, and carbides according to specifications.
Inspect coatings for thickness, adhesion, and surface quality.
Follow technical drawings and documented procedures.
Assist with troubleshooting and minor repairs on coating systems.
Adhere to safety and environmental protocols at all times.
Requirements/Education:
Previous experience in thermal spray coating, industrial coating, or welding preferred.
Familiarity with automated or robotic coating systems is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with industrial machinery.
Understanding of coating characteristics like wear, corrosion, and thermal protection.
Ability to read and follow blueprints and process instructions.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in coatings or related field a plus.
